The Dixon & Blackwell 1982 wines are regional champions. Our Barossa Valley Shiraz and Limestone Coast Malbec have been chosen to represent the ‘best of the best’ from each respective South Australian region.

The Barossa Valley has some of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in the world. Only 45 minutes from Adelaide, with a heritage and reputation that is unsurpassed. Shiraz is the jewel in the crown from the Barossa, known for its rich earthy tones, dark berry fruits and rich dark chocolate notes. The 1982 Shiraz has been carefully selected from parcels Bruce and his father Stuart have worked closely with for over 40 years. Safe to say this is an exceptional drop.

The Limestone Coast has a unique maritime climate and soil composition, which leads to some of the most elegant and approachable wines on offer from South Australia. The grapes for the 1982 Malbec are grown on over 600 acres of vines in a 3rd generation owned vineyard (managed by Peter’s sister and brother-in-law), considered by many as one of the trailblazing pioneering properties of the Padthaway wine region. The terroir embodies a very diverse range of soils, which present beautifully as the complexities so evident in the 1982 Malbec, which is from this stunning region.
